First gig of the #TPau25 Tour kicks off in Buxton and is a resounding success......

After many months of waiting, the #TPau25 Tour finally arrived and kicked off at the Opera House in Buxton on 9th April 2013.

Here is a picture Carol tweeted, saying "Buxton I'm here!!!!"

In the days leading up to the gig, the band were very busy rehearsing for the tour, and sounded great!!

Rehearsals

Isn't it great to see Ron back!!

I love watching bands 'behind the scenes'.

To give you a little taster of Carol and the band in rehearsals, here are two videos of them sounding fantastic!!

Rehearsals video 1

This first footage includes the band rehearsing 'Heart and Soul' and 'Let It All Fall', the latter taken from the album 'Red',  being a firm favourite of fans sung live.  It has so much T'Power!!

Rehearsals video 2

The next song being rehearsed is 'Now That You're Gone' from the album 'Red'.  It is a beautiful ballad and one of my favourite T'Pau songs.  If the rehearsal of the song sounds as good as this, then you are in for a treat when you go and see them at a #TPau25 gig!!

You could tell that the fans were all excited to the opening gig of the #TPau25 Tour by the comments left on the T'Pau25 Official FaceBook page.

Those that were lucky enough to get to see the first gig were always going to be in for a treat, i mean :

  • It is Carol's first 'headlining' tour in nearly fifteen years.
  • It is the first time Carol and Ron had done a 'full' set together in over twenty years!
  • It is celebrating 25 years since Bridge of Spies went quadruple platinum.
  • Songs from all four albums are being sung, including b sides.

So what did people think of the evening?  That's the big question!!!!

Here is what people had to say on the T'Pau25 Official FaceBook page :

Well you have seen what some of the fans that went to Buxton had to say.  Have you ordered your tickets yet?!

Here is a You Tube video that was made on the night of the Buxton gig.  It includes footage before and after the gig, clips of some of the songs, which sound amazing and you find out a few more songs that are in the set-list and footage of Carol and Ron being interviewed by ITV Granada.  The four minute clip is awesome!!
